Upon arriving in Nashville over 18 years ago, Waggoner has released five solo albums alongside Universal Fontana and her independent label, Swoon Moon Music. You’ve heard her songs on TV shows such as Grey’s Anatomy, Pretty Little Liars, Ghost Whisperer, Army Wives, Birchbox & Microsoft ads to name a few.
A consummate songwriter, Waggoner has co-written cuts on albums with Hammock, Amy Stroup, Run River North, Humming House, Swear & Shake, and Al Lewis. In conjunction to these, Jake Wesley Rogers, WILD, Jon Bryant, Jonas Myrin, Bryde, Air Park, and Lilly Kershaw are some of the many bands and artists that Waggoner works and writes with.
As the hat of songwriting has adorned the vocational wardrobe, so the hat of orchestration has played a significant role in Waggoner’s musical ensemble. She has orchestrated for many artists as well as TV including Dead Weather’s album Dodge and Burn, Mat Kearney, Sanders Bohlke, Lindsay Latimer, and NBC’s former TV show success NASHVILLE. You can also hear her commissioned composition work for the eclectic and highly regarded ensemble Chatterbird.
Along with being nominated for an Independent Music Award for "Best Folk/Singer-Songwriter Album,” Waggoner won the Nashville Music Award for NBN Emerging Artist of the year (2009).
Waggoner has been an invited participant to many Songwriting Workshops, Festivals, and Programs such as The Vermont OQ Farm Songwriter’s Festival, Music Bed’s Nashville Writing Camps, and 24HR Records “Reality TV Style” Youtube Show via Made-In Network.
In conjunction with NY Times Best-Selling author Victoria Schwab, Waggoner wrote a song for the book and compilation album via the Based On series.
She was also co-writer of the song In Between, best known as the theme song for the Culture Care Creative project, initiated by Makoto Fujimara (2019-2020).
For now, Waggoner is a writer and artist at Overtone, servicing a healthy dose of quietly-recorded instrumental piano music for your playlist needs. When she’s not recording these delicacies, you can find her at Lipscomb University where she teaches Songwriting and Lyric Lab courses in the Contemporary Entertainment & Arts College (2016-present).
